Bellair Shores Information
Belleair Shores is a community of private homes located just four miles South of Clearwater Beach on the Gulf Coast of Florida.
Homes in Belleair Shore are on the island of Sand Key, South of Clearwater Beach, one of a chain of barrier islands extending from the Gulf of Mexico inlet at Tampa Bay north to Honeymoon Island State Park, just southwest of the mainland cities of Crystal Beach and Palm Harbor. The Gulf of Mexico lies to the West, and the Intracoastal waters of Clearwater Harbor borders its eastern shores.
Luxury Homes in Belleair Shore
If you are looking for a luxury single family home, Belleair Shore is the place to buy. Properties range in price from over one million dollars to well over six million USD.
Properties on the beachfront have their own beach – extending to the high-water tide-line. Stringent single family home zoning regulations specified in the town ordinances ensure the city maintains it’s up-market exclusivity. No commercial or multifamily high-rise buildings are permitted, and set-back and height limitations are intended to protect the continuity of the area.
When considering the purchase of a luxury home, Belleair shores is one of the fines areas in the country to take a good look at. There are some VIP’s living in this area. Most keep a very low profile and are able to due to the privacy afforded the area. One exception seems to be the Magnificently enormous home that Philadelphia Phillies baseball player, first baseman, Ryan Howard is currently building on what was the last available vacant lot on the beach. Reports are that the home will exceed 14,000 square feet, have a moat and an indoor bowling alley! Of course, thi spales in comparison the the 40,000 square ft home that New York Yankees shortstop, Derrick Jeeter has constructed on Davis Island. Still, Jeeter is not on the Gulf, Howard is!
